All of that rambling to say I’ve been trying to apply this focus to my artistic careers.
I notice I am actively taking action in certain areas like training, exercises, and nutrition, however I could use additional action in other parts like practicing, auditioning, and career building.
Part of my focus is to write down my problems. A problem written down and well defined is a problem half solved.
This is where this website and this blog comes in. I’ve created this to help me define and write out my areas of discomfort and embrace that feeling and keep focus through it. No clue what I am doing here, but I am going to explore.
This lead me to creating my website which created a core idea.
How do I make these decisions for my website? How do I accurately create a site that feels real to me and genuine to me and showcases me as an artist.
And to me, thats having a well defined core, which I realized was an artist statement.
So now I had to work on developing an artist statement to base my decisions off of. And this proved to be very challenging for me. How am I supposed to define what I create without limiting myself.
But I realized… I can just use some of my core values as my artist statement.
